A nagging in my mind, eyes field with doubt
A little more tired, a little more imprisoned
day in and day out waiting for the earths rotation
wondering, what a human is, life to become, laying, oppressed by the stars older than time

Imagining the birth of the Universe, digging deeper into the void of space
I see a meteor as it quickly dissipates into nothing, having no time for wishes
Questioning religion, running thousands of years of history though my mind
Only to look into my little brother’s eyes as he taps my shoulder urging me to play

Mesmerized by deep eyes more meaningful than the infinite frontier, I slowly fall back down to earth
My Brother plops a blue toy car into my hands
We race around the couch to the desolate desserts of Arabia, through the Jungles of Madagascar
The little goblin runs upstairs whining after I stated my car could fly and break through invisible walls

An easing in my mind, eyes filled with certainty
A little more wise, a little more free
I sit in silence knowing
there is something more to life than what is known.
